A few useful things to know about Mutiny Marketing
I have a bee in my bonnet about fairness. Mutiny is my attempt to level the playing field a bit. Too often, all the budgets and expertise flow to the huge multinational brands, and this means that smaller set-ups can miss out. This is my way of rebelling against that unfair status quo.
When you’re a small business, you don’t want to pay big agency bills or be tied to a contract that lasts until the heat-death of the universe. But this doesn’t mean you have to settle for second-tier branding and marketing. As someone who’s worked in and run agencies for two decades, and with clients large and small, I’ve got a fresh perspective offering big brand expertise to help energise smaller companies that are hungry to grow.
That combination of emotional distance and deep expertise can be really helpful in spotting the opportunities, threats or challenges that people inside a business might not. A consultant is not emotionally invested in your business in the same way you are. We can complement your own expertise and profound understanding of your brand by offering:
- Objective perspective and feedback
- Industry expertise and trends to help strengthen your brand
- Fresh ideas that you may not have considered
- Strategy development to ensure it aligns with your business goals
- Problem-solving and helping with root causes and tackling them effectively
- Time and resource efficiency to help you avoid costly mistakes and accelerate growth
Having a strategy for your brand is so much more than just your logo. It’s about shaping how your company is perceived, its reputation, and the bond you have with your customers.
A brand strategy sets out the plan for how you will achieve differentiation, customer loyalty, trust and credibility, pricing power, consistency, marketing and value.
I work remotely but happy to meet you for meetings as necessary. I’m based just outside Manchester which is extremely well-connected for across the UK.
Me. I know that clients get frustrated when they have award-winning creatives paraded in front of them like flamingos on pitch day and inexperienced juniors sweating bullets on their account after the business is won.
You will always have me working on your business and as your main contact. If I bring anyone else in to help, I’ll always be totally transparent about who, why and how.
I’m determined to offer exceptional value to my clients, who tend to be smaller businesses that don’t see the value in paying for some swanky agency to keep its beer fridge stocked with craft IPAs.
I can work with various budget constraints so even if you think you can’t afford the support you need, give me a shout. You might be surprised.
Some clients pay me by the day, others by the project. Talk to me — there’s always flexibility in how we tackle the money stuff.
Flexibility is the name of the game here. I don’t ask clients to sign up for a long-term commitment. Agency-style five-year contracts are not helpful to small, growing businesses who need to be reactive, nimble and cost-conscious.
Talk to me about what you think you need, and we’ll plan the solution that suits you best.
